My Books and Other Writings

I have been a prolific writer since the late 1980s when I had three poems published New Beginnings: A Reflective Anthology of New Zealand Verse.  Since then, I have contributed to over 25 magazines and was the longest running contributor for Insight (2002 to 2012), Australia's No.1 spiritual lifestyle magazine until its sad demise in September 2012.

In November 2012 I self-published 400 copies of my first book, Dancing the Sacred Wheel: A Journey through the Southern Sabbats, one of the few books that focus on the seasonal festival from a Southern Hemispheric perspective.  Little wonder the 400 copies sold out in only nine months.  In June 2014 TDM Publishing was set up enabling me to update and expand Dancing the Sacred Wheel to some 292 pages.

In October 2014, I published my second book, In Her Sacred Name: Writings on the Divine Feminine.  Consisting of some 214 pages, this book is a collection of expanded essays that focused around the concept of the divine feminine, the Goddess, that I had originally written for Insight.  These goddesses came from many diverse cultures that included Egyptian, Greek, Celtic, African and Mesopotamian.

In September 2015, I edited my first anthology, Call of the God: An Anthology Exploring the Divine Masculine within Modern Paganism.  Consisting of some 290 pages, this book showcases an array of various essays, poems, invocations and artwork of the divine masculine, the God, and how he is depicted amongst various pagans around the world.

Some of the contributors to this anthology include Michael Howard (editor of The Cauldron who passed through the veil shortly after release of the anthology), Pete Jennings (past Pagan Federation president and author of many books), Anna Franklin (author of 30 books and decks including The Pagan Ways Tarot and The Sacred Circle Tarot), Tony and Candia McKormack from British Pagan band Inkubus SukkubusShauna Aura Knight (mixed media artist and author), Peter Coughlin (writer of poetry, fiction and non-fiction), and Patrick Larabee (artist and author of Whisperings from the Void).

A Wytch's Circle: A Practical Guide to the Art Magical was originally published in 2019 as a collection of expanded course notes for the course of the same name, and now has been updated and expanded in the 2021 edition.

As part of a short book series, A Little Book of Wicca: A Guide for the Southern Hemisphere was published in 2020 as an initial information guide for anyone curious about the practices of Wicca (contemporary witchcraft) but who was not yet interested in following this earth-centric spiritual path.  A Little Book of Lunar Magick: A Guide to Working with Moon is due for official release in the coming months, being an introduction to a the larger volume of work that will be released sometime in 2022/20223.

All of these books are available through all Amazon affiliated online stores, Book Depository, or can be ordered through your favourite book store.

In early January 2020
Moon Books accepted my manuscript for Encountering the Dark Goddess: A Journey into the Shadow Realms an exploration of the shadow self through the aid of 13 goddesses who have connections with the Underworld, initiation, creation and even who experience trauma themselves). This book was published in March/April 2021.

Moon Books has also published Contemporary Witchcraft: Foundational Practices for a Magical Life in August 2021.  This book is an introduction to the foundational practices contained within contemporary witchcraft for the serious seeker (neophyte) who may be somewhat dissatisfied with the modern interpretation of Wicca.
